Data Protection on the IEDE website
1. Anonymous browsing on web pages
IEDE only collects and saves the following information on its website visits:
- The domain name of the provider (ISP) which gives internet access. For example, a user of provided XXX will only be identified with the domain XXX.es. The purpose of this is merely statistical.
- The date and time of access to our website. The purpose of this is to offer our students and other visitors to our website better service.
- The internet address that created the link directing users to our website. The purpose of this is to study the success of our on-line advertising campaigns.
- The total number of daily visitors to each area of our website. The purpose of this is to improve service by reducing areas that do not have visitors. This data also helps us improve the website’s navigability and accessibility.
Information collected is totally anonymous, except for voluntarily registered users who wish to access more internal sections of our website.
2. Navigation with Cookies
Our web pages use cookies, or small data files created in the user’s computer. These cookies allow us to collect the following information:
- The date and time of the last visit by user to our website.
- The contents pattern that user selected on his/her first visit to our web site.
- Security features that act in controlling access to restricted areas.

3. Handling of Personal Data:
IEDE S.L.U., a Spanish university with domicile in Madrid (Spain), owner of the IEDE website, is owner of the database generated from the personal data provided by users of our website.
EThe user authorizes the automated handling of personal data provided which is necessary to offer support services to our students, as well as to facilitate the registration for services to our students, alumni, and faculty. The file created will be located in Spain in the company ACENS, under IEDE’s supervision and control. In addition, the user provides his/her consent for IEDE to Nonetheless, IEDE will respect the Spanish laws in effect regarding protection of personal information.
If the user is a minor IEDE advises consulting with parents or legal guardians regarding the appropriateness of navigating on our website. Such minors should be informed in advance of any navigation about the consequences of providing personal information, according to the rules established in this privacy policy.
Information contained in the aforementioned database is used both for the correct identification of users requesting personalized services from IEDE as well as for doing statistical studies of registered users of the IEDE website. This allows us to make improvements in the services we offer, to conduct routine administrative tasks and to be able to report problems, special offers or novelties to our registered users via electronic mail.
Compiled personal information from our registered users is stored in databases which are property of IEDE. IEDE assumes responsibility for the necessary technical, organizational and security measures that guarantee confidentiality and accuracy in this information, in accordance with Parliamentary Law 15/1999 (December 13) for Protection of Personal Information, and other applicable legislation.
The user is responsible for the truthfulness of any data provided, with IEDE reserving the right to block services requested by any user who has given false information, while not ruling out any other possible legal action.
Any registered user may at any time execute his/her right to access, rectify, or even cancel person information provided to IEDE. This must be done in writing and sent to IEDE at the following address: info@iede.edu, Agenda Bruselas 14 - 28108 Alcobendas (Madrid).
If a user participates in any of the registration options included on the IEDE website this will be understood as acceptance of the set of established conditions.
4. Miscellaneous
IEDE refuses to accept any responsibility for information located beyond this website which is not managed directly by our webmaster. The function of the links that appear on this web site is exclusively to inform users of other sources of information on the internet where they may receive further information than that contained on this website. IEDE is not responsible under any circumstances for the consequences or results obtained through the use of such hypertext links.
Industrial and Intellectual Property Rights
IEDE respects all intellectual and industrial property rights and demands its faculty, students and alumni do the same. Information contained on our website -opinions or documentation by our faculty, students or alumni- is their property. However, IEDE will cancel any area of our website if we detect violation to a third party’s intellectual or industrial property rights.
If your intellectual or industrial property rights have not been respected on any of our web pages or those of our faculty, students or alumni, please provide us with the following information:
- Names of owners whose rights have assumedly been infringed.
- Exact location of the infraction on the IEDE website. .
