The authors of the books Dirige tu vida and Economía incorrecta will take part in a debate

If you would like to spend an afternoon with two academic leaders who will make you think and take action, this is for you.

You are cordially invited to this event, which will take place on Thursday, December 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the IEDE building on the La Moraleja Campus, Av. de Bruselas 14. Exit 16 of the A-1 highway (La Moraleja metro stop).

Economía Incorrecta

What does an elite soccer player have in common with a developing country? Is fair trade fair? What would happen if we could sell our organs the same way we can sell CDs? In this book, Txema López questions notions widely considered to be irrefutable, as if they were the only possibilities to the exclusion of any alternatives or issues for discussion. But are they really? Through economic analysis and from a liberal perspective, he offers a reflection and asks whether the world wouldn’t be better off if we would at least question these “absolute” truths. To do this, you must know how to "run your own life"(“dirigir la vida”).

Dirige tu vida

Alternately, and following the premise of “you can if you want to,” Moisés Ruiz, a journalist and expert in leadership and management, proposes a way for you to achieve personal splendor in the midst of a society which is excessively hierarchal and given to unbridled consumerism and success - in other words, caught up in “a wrong-headed economy” (“una economía incorrecta”). In this book he attempts to be a guiding light in people’s lives. As in other books, his efforts are based on a new concept of leadership which begins with a look into the inner being of the person and takes a personal and positive approach throughout. Through metaphors, parables and his own experience, Moisés Ruiz exposes the realities that must be faced before one can walk with sure footing in times of confusion and doubt.
