Persuasion: A skill that is more than just a key for success

We well know the inconveniences and problems that can arise form the lack of this persuasive skill: aggressive behavior because we try to impose ourselves on the other person who withdraws or responds with even more aggression; we do not get others to do or say what we want; and problems at work due to a lack of support or cooperation from colleagues, etc. Furthermore it is a fact that people who have not learned to be persuasive usually have more conflictive, problematic and, generally more difficult lives that those others who know how to create good relationships and win over the people who are around them.

Persuasion - which is understood to be the ability to convince another, as opposed to conquering them, insomuch as they take on the ideas and points of view that are presented to them as their own - is therefore a key element in order to achieve success, both in our private and working lives.

The presentation is aimed at creating awareness of these persuasive skills. Its objective is so that the participants become aware of the strategies to convince others, offering more effective alternatives, language tools and strategies with which to tackle relationship problems that have to be faced up to every day. It will deal with issues such as the following:
- The keys to persuasion.
- The elements of persuasive communication.
- The scenarios in which we need to be especially persuasive: with oneself, in family relationships, and relations at work
- The tools for persuasion:
a) persuasive language
b) perception
c) metaphors
- Credibility and persuasion.
