Our History

1991

IEDE was founded in April 1991 by a group of businessmen, professionals and educators as a private and independent institution.

1993

IEDE launches the MBA Good Job programme which includes the School´s commitment to find job positions to its graduates.

1995

IEDE goes international with the creation of a new campus in Santiago de Chile from where it coordinates activities in Chile and the rest of Latin America. This makes IEDE the only multi-campus school in Spain and one of the few in the world.

2000

IEDE launches the first truly International MBA created by a Spanish Business School, a bilingual Program delivered in three different countries.

2001

IEDE is ranked among the top thirty business schools in Latin America, coming 23rd in the prestigious ranking of América Economía magazine.

2002

IEDE launches LEAD Club, continuous and updated education addressed to alumni, available for free to graduates of IEDE Executive MBA. The idea was awarded by the prestigious Actualidad Economica magazine .

2003

IEDE opens a new campus in Shanghai (China), adding a third continent to its international campus structure.

2004

IEDE joins the worldwide leading network of higher education institutions Laureate International Universities, currently including 17 campus-based and online institutions in Europe, Latin America, North America and Asia and serving more than 150,000 students worldwide.
