Welcome to IEDE Shanghai

I look forward to welcome you to IEDE Shanghai, where we can promise a stimulating environment and a wealth of totally different experiences. Here you will be able to appreciate the real potential of China in the world economy today and in the future.

IEDE Business School in Shanghai

IEDE in Shanghai is a part of the International MBA course that builds on the subject and technical knowledge that students learn in Madrid.

Here we introduce you to specialist geographical knowledge: of Asia in general and China in particular. It is our task in Shanghai to complete the training that the student is receiving helping him understand how the knowledge gained has to be modified in the light of different cultures and customs within the Asian region. For instance, managing people in China within different cultures and values means that a more sensitive and thoughtful approach to international management is required.

Also, how in this region, the State plays a more important role in the economic affairs of a nation, especially in China where the government is managing the transition from a state-owned economy to a socially just form of capitalism. These and other issues will form the basis of your time in Shanghai.

You will not only learn how things are different but in what ways. For example, the ways in which China is implementing business regulations concerning environmentalism and ethical behaviour. Equally, we introduce you to Chinese accounting and financial systems to give a rounded picture of doing business in this exciting part of the world.

Overall, we expect to show you the key factors for understanding the markets and particularities of companies in Asia. You will learn strategies used by companies to enter a new country as well as to manage the diversity in this great economic area.
